For eight years, Tyler has served as a Laborer at our plant with exceptional dedication. Day in and day out, his rock-solid punctuality, reliability, and eager drive to learn help keep our operations running smoothly. It takes dependable hands to craft top-tier hardwood flooring, and Tyler delivers every time.

This month, we are pleased to recognize Donald Preston Jr. for reaching his 12-year mark at our Barefoot Brand Hardwood Flooring plant.

Throughout his time with Cummings Lumber Company, Donald has served as a machine and forklift operator, providing a steady and reliable presence in our plant. His consistent work on the floor helps keep our daily operations running smoothly and supports our commitment to delivering quality hardwood flooring.

We thank Donald for his 12 years of service and appreciate his ongoing contributions to our operations.

At Barefoot Brand Flooring, our team drives everything we do. Today, we’re excited to celebrate Paul Laudenslager on reaching his one-year anniversary back at our plant!

Paul’s history with us runs deep. Prior to his return, he devoted 3 years and 9 months to our team. Combined with this past year, Paul has been a vital part of our operations for nearly five years.

Friendly, dedicated, and exceptionally hardworking, Paul is the ultimate team player. Whether he’s collaborating on the floor or honing his craft, his positive attitude and reliability shine through every day.

We are thrilled to celebrate a major milestone for one of our own! Patty Quick is marking one year back with the Barefoot Flooring family, adding to an impressive eight previous years of dedicated service with us.

If you’ve ever admired the flawless consistency and premium quality of our solid unfinished hardwood flooring, you have likely seen Patty’s work. As a Grader, Patty plays a critical role in our production process. Her incredible attention to detail ensures that every single board meeting our standards also meets yours. She catches the imperfections that others might miss, guaranteeing our customers receive only the finest materials for their homes and projects.

Beyond her sharp eye for quality, Patty sets the standard for professionalism every day. She is notoriously reliable—always showing up for work early—and stands out as a true team player who supports everyone around her.

We want to extend a massive thank you to Patty for her years of hard work, her dedication to craftsmanship, and the positive energy she brings to the team every morning. We are incredibly lucky to have you back, Patty!

David is the definition of reliable—a true “show up on time, get the job done, and go home” kind of guy. We appreciate his dedication and hard work day in and day out.

June 25th marked the 2-year anniversary of the fire in our sawmill. Instead of bringing in an outside company to clean up after the fire, President Scott Cummings chose to keep as many of our own employees as possible to do the work together. 🪵💪

To mark the anniversary and show his appreciation for the team’s dedication, Scott provided a fantastic, free catered BBQ lunch from Stone Age BBQ! 🍗🔥

A huge shout-out to Doug Joseph from Stone Age BBQ, who did an absolutely amazing job with the food—and even used our very own Barefoot & BBQ pellets to cook it! 🪵💨

The crew is incredibly grateful for the delicious meal and Scott’s ongoing support. A massive thank you to Scott for always looking out for his employees, and to Doug for knocking the lunch out of the park!
