Today, we opened the doors of the Barefoot Flooring plant to 23 enthusiastic students from the Athens Middle School FFA!

The tour highlighted how the high-quality lumber from our mill is precisely crafted into beautiful hardwood flooring. The students learned about the entire cycle, emphasizing that we utilize every part of the tree.

A fascinating discovery for the group was how the sawdust created during the flooring process doesn’t go to waste; it is ingeniously transformed into our highly efficient Sunfire Heating Blocks! Thank you to the FFA for your visit and great questions. We wish you all the best!
